Having the opportunity to meet Elaine and EJ was such a pleasure!! After they saw their pictures, Elaine shared her happy reaction to them and its things like this that makes my job so amazing!! Needless to say they both LOVED the photos! The two of them together are so cute and I’m hoping that after this session EJ will see that he has a great smile and will bring it out for the wedding! HAHA! Can’t wait for the big day!!
month: June 2011
My little buddy Declan is one! It’s hard to believe! I’ve known his wonderful parents for years as we first photographed their wedding and then their friend’s weddings after. Now we’ve been lucky enough to photograph this little darling from newborn all the way to one year old. Such a bitter sweet time for me as a photographer since I’m going to miss not seeing him every 3 months! BUT….this family is expecting so keeping my fingers crossed!
Walking into the Interfaith Chapel at the University of Rochester and seeing the amazing sunlight glisten through the huge stained glass was one of those wow moments! Earlier in the week I remember asking one of my photographer buddies if she had ever shot there before…and she responded with, “yeah, it’s cute.” Ummm cute is the understatement of the year! HAHA! As a photographer I didn’t know where to look first…amazing stain glass….super cool brick patterns on the side walls. Katie and Adam definitely did pick one of the most fun chapels we’ve been to!
After a beautiful ceremony we hopped in the limo and off to one of my favorite locations….outside out studio at Schoen Place! We’ve always LOVED it there… even well before we opened our studio there. A million great shooting locations and this radiant couple along with their bridal party really got into it! We thought it was the perfect mix from the reception which would be very natural and green at Locust Hill Country Club. Once arriving at the country club Peter (the GM there) help guide us to some of the most beautiful locations on the course…the ponds there are just pristine! Inside he made sure everything went off without a hitch throughout the night. Any couple would be lucky to work with him!
Katie and Adam, we just loved working with you both….even with a CRAZY bridal party (which we love!) You both really took time for each other and embraced the day. The details at your wedding were beautiful…especially covering the ceiling with balloons which added so much to the festive feel of the night! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day and capturing your love story!

Often I get asked the question, “I see a ton of babies in your work but rarely see maternity pictures…..do you do them?” The answer is YES! Very often I get the pleasure to capture this amazing time in an expecting mom’s life! Influenced from my own personal experiences with during my pregnancy years ago, I decided to keep my pictures private and just felt that other moms would want the same. So that is why you may not see as many examples online. However when Jennifer walked in the door, I learned that not all moms are created equal on this topic! She said very proudly that she wouldn’t mind at all to share with friends and family through my blog! Ok great!! Even though I will still keep them semi-private I will definitely give moms the choice if they want them posted or not! So thank you Jennifer on this decision! HAHA!
…..so getting back to Jennifer!! When she walked into the studio we were like old friends reuniting…we chatted about so much, it was so fun to hear about the upcoming arrival of baby Graeham! I’m so excited for tonight as I get to meet this little guy in his first newborn shoot ever here at my studio! ;)
