month: January 2011

The recent wedding of David and Amanda was very special for me….David is my little brother! Being the older sister of two brothers, I have to admit, wasn’t easy for them to bring girls home to meet the family. HAHA….but Amanda has something completely different about her that we knew immediately from the start that she was the perfect fit for both David and our crazy family! She’s so caring, sweet, funny, kind spirited and most importantly a total character! I’m so excited to call her my sister! My brother also shares the same traits…he has the biggest heart and is always willing to help others…so much so that he does it for a living as a substance abuse counselor!

These two had a very small and modest wedding which was held right at their church and at the school where Amanda teaches! It was a complete family affair! Gregg and I documented the day, my dad was the pastor (who also married Gregg and I! FUN!), and our adorable 3 year old Brooke was the flower girl!! Brooke had the time of her life and still talks about how important her role was at Aunt Amanda and Uncle Davey’s wedding!
Not only was this day absolutely perfect for them, but super emotional. I think at one point or another we were ALL crying during the ceremony! HAHA! One of my favorite moments of the day was the first look between the two of them (which happened before the ceremony). You could see the anticipation in David’s face and when he turned around to see his bride…it was a beautiful moment!!!

David & Amanda, we love you both so much and welcome to the family Amanda!

You grab your dad’s arm and squeeze as tight as possible….the doors are open and you breathe a huge sigh of relief as you see the biggest smile from your future husband waiting for you at the end of the isle. One of the most magical moments at a wedding, the anticipation from both the bride and groom, its the feeling of …our life is together is starting now and will be forever. Gregg did an amazing job at capturing this moment at the wedding of Monique and John. The same feelings come back to me from our own wedding every time I see this picture!

Monique and John are beautiful couple both inside and out! This fun spirited pair were a true delight to work with! We had a lot of time for pictures in-between the ceremony and reception and definitely took advantage and hit up some of my favorite locations! Before the start of the reception the couple and their bridal party were able to go to their room for a some rest and relaxation ….or so we thought! As soon as we got upstairs we learned very fast that the party started a little early! HAHA! The one thing I LOVE most about couples that select us as their photographers is they trust us! I asked Monique to hop up on the piano which was in their amazing suite and while most brides might hesitate, she hopped up with no reservations and we captured some adorable moments!!

Thank you two so much for choosing us to capture your day! …and thank you for trusting us as photographers to show your true personalities!

Gregg was able to capture the room and if you look close Im in there too! HAHA! Check out the next image to see what I saw through the lens…

Fun in the snow! I don’t get to shoot out in the snow often so I was even more excited when I got the call from this adorable couple! Sean and Molly were so much fun to work with! We would run out of the studio for 5 mins, take a few pictures then RUN back inside get warmed up and then back out to winter! HAHA! It was so nice meeting you two!!

Baby Natalie…what fun we had! Can I say it again? …I LOVE this age!! It is the perfect baby stage when their adorable personalities really start to shine! Her session was non-stop cuteness from beginning to end!

Yes we are a little behind in our blogging! I’m sorry! The holidays were a little more crazy than we expected around the studio! (In a good way!) So in the next couple weeks I will be bringing you some past studio sessions along with a few late weddings from our 2010 season! Of course I’ll work in some of our newer sessions too!

I can’t think of a better way to kick off the New Year than with this adorable brother and sister!! These two siblings had a blast playing in the fall leaves! Can there be anything cuter than a little girl trying to catch falling leaves?!? A perfect epitome of the fall portrait!
