month: September 2010

Laura and Mark came to meet with me about their summer 2011 wedding a few months back and were really excited about the ongoing details of their planning for the big day. Their excitement was contagious! Every couple is so different and its rewarding when we see every detail come together with our own individual touch! When Laura called to let us know that she selected us to be her wedding photographer I think she was even more excited to setting up the engagement session! HAHA! Of course hearing the joy and passion that someone has for photography is what fuels me as an artist. We had a lot of fun at this session laughing about fun poses and interesting local characters walking around asking for a job! HAHA! Also we learned that Laura is a teacher at the elementary school next to our house! …she could be Brooke’s teacher someday! How fun!

To Laura and Mark: What a fun session! Mark you were such a great sport, exactly how I knew you would be! You two just radiate happiness and fun! I really hope we see you two before your wedding NEXT summer!

We always get to excited when we find out that we get to photograph at the breath taking Glen Iris at Letchworth State Park! It’s such a surreal place and not only for the incredible views, but you can feel the power of the falls! Gayle and Lee’s wedding (which fell on 8-9-10!) was a destination wedding for them as they are from Georgia and their guests were from all over the country. This perfectly planned wedding had fabulous hints of vintage throughout the day all the way to her adorable head piece! Whether you’re planning from afar or here locally it is always such a relief having a little help…especially with those details! This couple made the right choice and selected a talented planner, Laura Linder from Better Together Events, and the day went off without a hitch!

Gayle & Lee: What a wedding!! Just the short time I’ve known you two I can tell every inch of that wedding just truly captivated you as a couple! Hope you, your family and friends enjoyed the park and all the beauty!

I love this meeting time before the ceremony!

Gayle did a great job holding that straight face! …..

….for about a second! HAHA!

Oh Andrea! Our favorite wedding videographer ever! We’ve bonded over the pomp and craziness of years of weddings and have experienced many wild behind the scenes events that you cannot even imagine! I think a wedding stories book is in our future! HAHA! …but I have to say it wasn’t love at first site with Andrea. Gregg and I met her a few years back at a wedding and along with her over the top, loony ( the kindest words we can use) second shooter. So of course we thought she immediately had to be the same way to deal with! During dinner he stepped away for a few and we finally got to realize that Andrea was the complete opposite! Fun, loving and most important cares deeply about the couple she was there for that day. From there our friendship started and we even shared some laughs about her counterpart from that wedding! From then on we’ve worked together on many, many weddings with her and the laughs are endless! At one wedding we were traveling together from the bridal party outdoor site pictures to the reception and were talking about her then boyfriend John. The way she talked about him was an “awwwww” moment. …and of course I had to come out with “if he asked you to marry him would you?!?!?” “OF COURSE,” she said!  A few months later that exact question was asked to her and the rest is history! So I should probably talk a little about this engagement shoot HAHA! The months leading up Andrea kept warning me that John isn’t crazy about pictures…wonderful **eyes roll**…so an engagement session is needed to break the ice and for him to realize that its not that bad!! John’s a ball breaker, but he didn’t know we would give it right back! HAHA! Needless to say the session was a BLAST! …even John had a great time and everyday after kept asking Andrea when they were going to see the pictures! Too funny!!

To Andrea and John: I can’t even tell you how much it means to us for you to have chosen us as your wedding photographers!! Being in the wedding industry you are working weekend after weekend with photographers and for us to even be on that list is a huge honor!! We can’t wait for the big day which is coming up VERY soon!! Oh…and we have to take the golf cart out for a spin!!!
