month: July 2010

An engagement shoot with fire trucks, boats and even a little water! We often get to visit my old home town of Clayton which we hold very near and dear to our hearts. A small town with a ton of personality and placed right on the St. Lawrence river in the 1000 Islands. This trip up we were lucky enough to catch up with Ryan and meet his stunning bride-to-be Cori-Anne for their engagement session! We knew the shoot had great potential for capturing some truly unique images when they told us that they BOTH were members of the Clayton fire department…hmmmmm…and the wheels start spinning! We had tons of fun with the firetruck then hit up the streets of downtown (yes there is a downtown) then off to the fireboat! For all that don’t know, the fireboat is used for any emergencies on any of the islands which cannot be reached by car. So anyway! ….the boat pulls up and they hop on! Snap a few shots and at this point a crowd is starting to gather because the boat is spraying water for the show about 50 feet or more. I’m getting more excited by the minute! They hop off the boat and knowing what a fun couple they are we suggest that they get a little WET! Ryan’s dad was driving the fireboat and has now docked the boat next to us. We give the signal to move the spraying water stream closer to them for a “little” shower! Ryan wasn’t too keen on taking his shirt off at first, but was a great sport and it was worth it for the final product!

To Cori-Anne and Ryan: OMG…what an adventure! This is another one that I will never forget! I have to say Ryan, I was a little nervous as to how you would be with the pictures (knowing the ham you are) and you did awesome!!! I think you had the most fun out of all of us! HAHA! We are so looking forward to your wedding neat year!!

Stacy and Matt had a wild and crazy wedding a few years back , definitely a memorable one that season! Their families have so much energy and welcomed us with open arms….I knew from that day there would be a connection between us to be shared for many years to come. Of course we were thrilled when they welcomed into their home baby Olivia! Such a precious baby with a head full of beautiful dark hair!

To Stacy and Matt: Thank you so much for choosing us to capture not only your wedding day memories, but now your family memories! It was great catching up with you and your families! We can’t wait to watch her grow over the next year!

Walking back to our hotel room from a long day in the sun we spot them….”JUSTIN,… MARGO!” Justin and I are reunited so many years later (not dating myself here! :) after our high school graduation on the sandy beaches of Jamaica and I finally get to meet his beautiful bride to be Margo! Such a fun story and I have to fill you all in (short version I promise!)….so….this couple had an October 2010 wedding planned when not to long ago we got the news that all of this wedding planning just wasn’t for them and they were off to elope! “Ummm….take us with you?”,  ”Absolutely…great idea!” ….so we book our tickets not to long after that conversation and we had to be hush, hush about all the plans. …even though I wanted to yell from the roof tops! So many times when we hear the exciting details from honeymoons, the couple ALWAYS talk about how they wish they would have brought us with them to document their love in such a tropical location! Why not! :) We cant even start to tell you how much fun we had getting to know this couple better and seeing them around the resort! Volleyball games, catching some rays, meeting other amazing couples and of course who could forget hanging out in the ocean with purple rains!!

To Justin and Margo: Thank you so much for having us be there to document the day! It was an amazing experience that we will treasure always! We left with some fun new memories and some hilarious stories like your first round of make-up Margo (eeek!), the interesting commentaries from the minister and days with way too many purple rains! HAHA! Congrats on your new house and the start to a beautiful marriage!
